Here at Leopold Early Learning Centre we believe that having the right team is crucial to the success of the relationship and care that you and your child receive during your time here with us. That is why we have selected a team of Educators that are passionate, considerate, educated, inspiring and welcoming. They have a great love and passion for educating children and enjoy developing genuine connections with each of them, their families and our broader community.

We believe that early learning Educators require a wide range of skills and life experiences as well as

early childhood qualifications. All Educators hold a minimum Certificate III in Children's Services and each

room has an Educator who also holds a Diploma in Children's Services or higher. Our Educators have

excellent access to training and development opportunities in the early learning industry and participate

in on-going training facilitated by our dedicated Education Leader and Quality & Curriculum Leader as well

as undertaking industry recognised first aid qualifications on a regular basis, including

Anaphylaxis Management and Asthma Management training.

We pride ourselves on having a stable and committed team, ensuring your little one will be greeted and cared for by familiar faces each day, enabling them to develop strong and trusting relationships with their Educators. Please read on to find out more about some of our wonderful staff.

Jess, Centre Manager

Hi! I'm Jess, the Centre Manager of Leopold Early Learning Centre. I have been working in the early childhood industry in the local area for over 10 years. I have held a variety of roles from Educator to Centre Manager, all whilst juggling the role of mum to my two children, Zeik and Miki.

As a Leopold local I have many connections to the community, my children attend the local primary school and I am honoured to play for the local soccer club FC Leopold. As an Early Childhood Professional my philosophy is built around children being unique. I believe that what is in the best interest of the children’s health and wellbeing always comes first. Each child deserves to be respected and advocated for.

I understand that choosing a child care service is a very important process and I feel privileged to help families make this choice an easy one. I look forward to showing you though our amazing centre in the near future!

Nikkie, Assistant Centre Manager

Hi! I'm Nikkie, the Assistant Centre Manager & Educational Leader at Leopold Early Learning Centre. I have worked in the early childhood sector for 9 years and have undertaken many roles from an Assistant Educator to a Centre Manager.

I have lived in Geelong for 7 years and I have two amazing children, Kyuss 11yrs and Riley-Joan 8 yrs. In my free time I enjoy being surrounded by family and friends and camping in the great outdoors.

I feel the early years are the most important time to focus on your children’s development. I see my role as supporting them at this crucial time to achieve their very best through learning and play. Importantly we work as a team in close collaboration with each other as educators and with you as their parent or caregiver.

Tiff, Lead Educator Nursery 1

Hi! My name is Tiff and I am the Lead educator in Nursery One at Leopold ELC. I have a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and am a mother to 4 myself!

I am passionate about working with children, helping them grow, develop, learn and engage in new experiences. I love helping children explore and develop through play. I enjoy building connections and friendships with the children but also their and families as I value families as a child's first teacher.

A little about me; I am a Leopold local who has been involved in several community activities including the local cricket club. I have 4 beautiful children and have been married for almost 10 years. All six members of my family play cricket and in our spare time we love having family BBQ’s, reading books, playing board games and having family outings.

I look forward to meeting you and your little one and sharing in their learning and development journey.

Kierra, Lead Educator Nursery 2

Hi! I'm Kierra, one of the Lead Educators at Leopold Early Learning Centre. I am a qualified early childhood educator with 12 years’ experience in the industry including management experience. I am passionate about working with babies and watching them grow, development and reach milestones. I pride myself in making the children’s time in the Nursery 2 environment a home away from home, where I can guide and teach them in their world of play. Through age and stage appropriate experiences and challenges I will extend their learning through fun educational experiences. There is nothing more rewarding than their big cheeky smiles when they succeed at whatever they've been working at mastering.

I am a mum of 3 teenage children Harry, Ella, & Layla. I am passionate about mindfulness and will incorporate that into the program through art experiences, music, yoga and sensory activities. I am looking forward to meeting you and establishing strong bonds with your children.

Olivia, Lead Educator Toddler 1

Hi! I’m Olivia and I am the Lead Educator of Toddler One. I hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and this will be my second year leading the Toddler Room.

Children are our future, and I love that I get to be one of the many people in a child’s life that helps guide, educate, impact and shape them into the people they will be in years to come. I believe the first five years of a child’s life is a crucial time to focus on their development in order to give them the best start to life. I do this through playful learning and engaging with self-directed activities in a specially prepared environment. Children’s minds work so differently to ours and I value being someone they can come to, to share their thoughts or ask questions to help better understand the world.

I have been living in the Drysdale area for a few years now and love driving to explore all that the surrounding communities have to offer along with trying out new coffee places! During my spare time, I often work with Peace Of Mind Foundation (a Geelong brain cancer organisation) doing admin and supporting at retreats.

I am grateful and love being a part of this amazing centre and look forward to meeting all the families and creating great relationships as the year goes on!

Allison, Lead Educator Toddler 2

Hi, I'm Allison and I am excited to be joining the team at Leopold Early learning as the Lead Educator of Toddler 2. I have worked with young children since I was a teenager and found my passion for working with young people through my high school work experience project. I have spent my 12 years in the industry in a number of roles across a number of settings. From a nanny position in Europe to working with children in an early educational setting, my passion for early education runs deep.

I have 2 children, one who attends school in the local area and another who will be joining the nursery. Having moved to the local area 2 years ago for my partners study requirements I have spent the time engaging with our local community and getting to know the area.

I feel passionate about providing safe and secure environments for the children I care for and work hard to foster strong relationships with all whom I care for. I believe that secure attachments encourage a child to engage with more confidence and allows them to explore freely. As I meet the wonderful children I will be working with I look forward to building those same trusting relationships with parents and family members.

Stephanie, Lead Educator Junior Kindy

Hi! I'm Stephanie, one of the Lead Educators here at Leopold Early Learning Centre. I have been in the child care industry for almost 5 years now. I love working in early childhood as it gives me the opportunity to build bonds and connections with children where they trust, feel safe and secure with me. I find it rewarding seeing each child achieve their goals and feel it is like an achievement of my own. When their little faces light up, it lights up mine. I am a self taught Auslan enthusiast, and I enjoy teaching children other methods of communication to further support their language development.

A little about me: I am 28 years old and am now 4 years into married life with my husband Josh. We have our own home and the joy of our little water baby Hammond, a very destructive turtle who loves to move and throw the objects in his tank around! In my down time I love to read, go on adventures, camping and 4wding. I also love to sew.

I can’t wait to meet you!

Zoe, Lead Educator Pre-Kindy

Hello everyone! I'm Zoe, one of the Lead Educators here at Leopold Early Learning Centre. I have been in the industry approaching 2 years and have recently been promoted to Room Leader which I am so excited about. I cannot wait to help each child achieve their goals and find their feet in Pre-Kindy.

I strongly believe that each child has their own mind, imagination and pace of learning. Free play and open ended interactions are important tools for children to explore in their learning and development. I am also very enthusiastic about Auslan as a method for children to discover new languages and ways to communicate. Auslan is so valuable as it can help children develop more knowledge about emotions and body language and gives them the ability to express themselves while they are still pre-verbal or perhaps not confident speakers. I thrive on helping children learn new things and it makes me so proud when they can use Auslan in their every day life from basic signs to animals, numbers and letters!

I am 25 and I have lived in Geelong all my life. I love exploring and trying new things and am always up for a challenge. In my spare time I like to spend time with my partner Bronte and our Rottweiler Myla. We enjoy camping, 4x4’ing and of-course retail therapy.

I am looking forward to connecting with you all, meeting new families, planning little futures and even more so creating amazing memories for your children.

Cina, Lead Educator Pre-Kindy

Hi! I'm Cina, a Lead Educator at Leopold Early Learning Centre. I am a diploma qualified educator and I am currently studying towards my Bachelors of Early Education. Prior to joining Leopold ELC I ran a gorgeous little Family Day Care in Leopold and worked in the outside school hours care sector for many years prior to that. I have always loved working with children, building strong relationships with them and their families. Over the last few years, I have really grown as an educator with a focus on play based learning and open ended resources and I really do see myself as a play advocate for children and families.

My husband Kieran and I moved to Leopold just over 2 years ago from Melbourne. I’m a first time mum to our little man Memphis who is nearly 3 years old. We have some amazing pets; Toothless a melanistic Blue Tongue Lizard and Crush an Eastern River Long Neck Turtle.  I enjoy reading (I'm a huge Harry Potter fan!), camping and arts & crafts. I’m currently teaching myself wood work so I can create new resources for play and I always love to attempt a DIY.

I look forward to meeting you and sharing my love of play based learning with you and your family.

Darcie, Kindergarten Teacher

Hi! I'm Darcie, the Kindergarten Teacher at Leopold Early Learning Center. I am a register teacher who holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care. I am so passionate about the early years and how I can impact a child's future learning, development and life. Children are so important in our community and I wish to encourage all of the children that cross through my Kindergarten room to be confident, independent and capable people. Now that I am a mother myself I have a whole new perspective of early years learning, and I hope to show each of you just how much I care about teaching and your child's learning and growth.

My husband Gaz and I live in Clifton Springs with our 1 1/2 year old son Teddy. We love being outside and exploring the coast, playing soccer and creating art. The three of us mostly just like to enjoy time together.

I am looking forward to meeting each of you and learning more about your family as the year goes by.

Tess, Chef

Hi! I'm Tess, the Chef here at Leopold Early Learning Centre. I have been in the hospitality industry for almost 7 years and love the fast pace of it all. I am really enjoying transferring my knowledge into the long daycare kitchen. I love food and definitely love creating something special that is nutritious, and both looks and tastes amazing. My favourite part of my position is cooking with the children, they absolutely love the hands on experience and learning!

I have 2 children and a border collie puppy. All of my spare time is spent with my family usually at the park, visiting new exciting places and also on play dates with my friends.

I hope to see you around the centre, share recipes and make lots of meals together!
